If a health care practitioner poses a threat to themselves or the public, as described under section 120.60(6), Florida Statutes, the Department may restrict or suspend a health care practitioner license through an emergency order. Of the 200 emergency orders issued by the Department in FY 2022-23, 37.5% were to restrict and 62.5% were to suspend.
