When licensed health care practitioners and facilities violate the law, the Department or boards have the authority to enforce disciplinary actions. These actions may include fines, reprimands, probation, or suspensions. In FY 2023-24, 1,227 cases were resolved through a final order against health care practitioners, reflecting a 12.8% increase from the prior fiscal year.
