MQA Q4 2014 - 2015

This measure calculates the average number of days from the date an application is deemed qualified to

the date a license is issued. This measures all applications for licensure and registration for health care

professions under the Florida Department of Health that were not cancelled or generated in error.

To improve the time to issue a license to qualified applicants, the Bureau of Health Care Practitioner

Regulation is reviewing and analyzing all aspects of the application process. A team of application experts was

assembled and the application for one profession was targeted for changes in each board office. The findings

will be analyzed to determine where improvements can be made and the board offices will then be charged

with applying this same analysis to its remaining professions. The boards remain committed to finding and

implementing innovative methods to increase efficiency and get Floridians to work faster.
