MQA licenses more than 1.15 million health care practitioners and health care facilities and, on average, renews over 400,000 licenses per
year. Most health care licensed health care providers and facilities are required to renew their license every two years in order to maintain
the right to practice, while some professions require annual licensure renewal. To facilitate an efficient and effective renewal process, MQA
encourages licensed health care providers to renew their license online. This fiscal year, more than 90 percent of licensed health care
providers utilized the online renewal system.
