MQA, in conjunction with the boards, works to enforce health care standards through timely discipline of health care professionals and
facilities found in violation of the law. This fiscal year final orders were issued in 1,489 cases against health care practitioners.
Some practitioners were determined to need additional training to prevent errors, while others were reprimanded or sanctioned.
MQA continues to evaluate its disciplinary processes to increase accurate disciplinary actions and improve the safety of the public.
