MQA licenses more than 1.2 million health care practitioners and health care facilities and, on average, renews over 400,000 licenses per
year. Most health care licensees and facilities are required to renew their license every two years in order to maintain the right to practice,
while some professions require annual licensure renewal. To facilitate an efficient and effective renewal process, MQA encourages licensees
to renew their license online. This fiscal year, nearly 95 percent of licensees utilized the online renewal system.
